The Wellness Centre
We invite you with pleasure to our Wellness Centre, which was opened in January 2007 It offers you a variety of beauty and health treatments such as: an indoor pool with counter – currents and a water cascade, paddling pool for children, dry sauna, steam bath and jacuzzi. We organise aromatherapy sessions in the steam bath, aquarobics trainings, learning to swim and many other activities. Qualified lifeguards will guarantee your safety.
Remarkable Ancient Roman style of the Wellness Centre will let you relax and soothe away everyday stress and strain. Our Wellness Centre is children friendly, so at the Centre’s Reception you will find every pool accessory for you and your child and a mini guide telling you how to accustom small babies to water.
Visit our Wellness Centre the whole year through. We want to improve your water confidence and create you perfect conditions to live a healthy and active life.

AQUA AEROBIC


Why are aquarobics trainings worth attending? Exercises in water do not strain your joints and are a perfect pastime for everyone. Aquarobics may have more benefits like:
• it relives stress on your spine,
• it improves flexibility of your muscles, joints and connective tissues,
• it builds endurance and litheness of your body,
• it improves your physical condition and balance,
• it reduces sensitivity of nerve endings (pain killing effect),
• it releases endorphins and helps you gain the feeling of well-being,
• it makes you look slimmer,
• it reduces not wanted cellulite,
• and MOST IMPORTANTLY – you do not need to know how to swim to do aquarobics!!!
Everyone regardless of their age is welcome to aquarobics trainings in the Bartis Hotel!

FINNISH SAUNA

It is a small room with wooden benches. It has a relatively low humidity. The temperature reaches up to 85-120°C.

How does sauna work?
Water is thrown on the hot stones topping, a special stove used to warm up the sauna. This produces steam, which makes the sauna feel even hotter. The sauna is usually warmed to 95°C. The humidity is about 10%. One session in the sauna should last up to 15 minutes. Then you should allow a short cool down period. You should repeat this serious two or three times.

Benefits of sauna:
• it detoxifies and clarifies your body,
• it improves your immune system,
• it improves your cardiovascular system,
• it helps you gain the feeling of well-being,
• it makes you look slimmer (during one session you can burn up to 300 calories – you can burn the same amount of calories after running 4 km).

Finnish sauna rules:
• one session in the sauna should last from 5 - 15 minutes and the total amount of time in the sauna shouldn’t exceed 30 minutes a day e.g. 2 x 15 minutes or 3 x 10 minutes. For the best benefit use the sauna 2-3 times a week.
• after leaving the sauna takeby turns a cold and warm shower and rest for about 10 - 15 minutes
• during the session in the sauna and while resting you should drink tea, juice or mineral water.
• during the session in the sauna you mustn’t apply any cream on your face or body, because it would reduce the sweating body surface.
• during the session in the sauna you shouldn’t eat too much or drink coffee or alcohol.
• before entering the sauna warm your hands and feet.
• always enter the sauna at least 2 hours after meal.
• do not enter the sauna when you are tired or under stress, because it would strain the heart, what lowers the effectiveness of the session.
• always dry off your body before entering the sauna, otherwise the water drops could burn your skin.

JACCUZI

The easiest and most natural way of water massage is a bath in a whirlpool tub, which is colloquially called a jacuzzi. It is a perfect way to relax and soothe away everyday stress and strain. Your whole body is massaged by jets combining air and water for a more intense massage and relaxation experience. Such hydro-massage improves blood supply of your skin, relives pressure on your muscles and helps the cares and worries of the day drift away.

The water cascade makes the Wellness Centre more attractive.

A water cascade falling into a swimming pool creates a great visual effect apart from a relaxing atmosphere. The cascade not only makes your bath more attractive, but it massages your back or neck effectively as well. It also relives pressure on your muscles, improves your cardiovascular system and soothe the pain.

In this area you can also find deckchairs to relax.

STEAM BATH

It gives you a wonderful relaxation, but above all it is good for your health. It is a sweat bath like sauna, however, with a different climate inside. In a steam bath it is not as hot as in sauna and humidity is much higher. For many people this lower temperature (between 43 - 46°C) and relative humidity reaching 100 % are perfect conditions to relax. The hot steam helps by airway and rheumatic diseases. Steam bath is also great for your beauty as it purifies, detoxifies and hydrates your skin.

General rules for using the steam bath:
• never use the steam bath on a full stomach or under the influence of alcohol.
• before entering the steam bath remove your make-up, take a shower and dry off your body.
• never enter the steam bath with wet hair (it can be damaged).
• before entering the steam bath warm your feet for a better effect.
• you should spend 8 - 15 minutes within one session in the steam bath.
• after leaving the steam bath take a cold shower.
• after drying off your body allow a short cool down period.
• after the last session in the steam bath rub body lotion into your skin to even the moisture level.
• you should drink about one litre of mineral water.
• any metal or plastic objects (like jewellery, watches etc.) should not be worn in the steam bath.
After leaving the steam bath you should drink plenty of mineral water, fruit or vegetable juice. Tomato juice is especially recommended because of its high content of potassium. For the best benefit use the stem bath once maximum up to three times a week.
